九○年代企業間最風行的一件事可能就是ISO的問題。對於一些製造業而言,因為外國廠商或下游廠商的要求,導入ISO制度是必要的。但對於台灣大多數的中小企業卻不一定要導入ISO制度。因為目前國內輔導ISO的顧問公司因為市場競價的關係,大多將ISO輔導作業範本化,將「範本化」的ISO作業標準硬生生套到不同的企業,反而引發了許多問題。沒有導入ISO制度還好,一導入之後使得工廠的運作大亂。耳耳相傳,也使得許多企業主對於ISO制度敬而遠之。但是在這個競爭的時代,企業不能自我檢視改善企業體質,與其他企業競爭又只能處於被挨打的地位。因此,若不適合導入ISO制度的企業,可從人事管理制度與薪資結構著手,以期降低公司的人事成本。再者可從生產線管理,從業務接單、樣品確認、採購、到生產、品管出貨等等程序,以標準化或合理化的管理觀點,試圖將低公司的製造成本或原料進貨成本。就本公司輔導的經驗而言,企業只有存在而不去解決的問題,並沒有解決不了的問題。
